I am writing on behalf of the Sorrento Centre to apologize for the catastrophic failure in our online booking system that led to frustration and confusion amongst those trying to book their place at NimbleFingers 2023. The company that provides our booking system has acknowledged that an error in their system led to the problem. We have used this booking system for a number of years, and in the last couple of years, we have gone through enhancements and upgrades to improve the on-line booking experience.
We have asked the company that provides the on-line booking platform for a detailed explanation of how and why the failure occurred. We have also asked for their assurance that this will not happen again. We always strive for generous hospitality in the life and work of the Sorrento Centre, and that includes the booking process. Please bear with us as we identify the problem and the solution.
In the meantime, guests can always call our toll-free line at 1-866-694-2409 and one of our guests services specialists will complete their registration over the phone. On days, such as today, when there is a heavy volume of calls, there will be longer wait times. However, even on a day like today when our on-line booking platform failed, we were able to accept many registrations via our hard-working staff team.
Please know that we are working as hard as we can with the company that provides our on-line booking platform to identify and fix the error and to ensure that it never happens again.
