Community Partners

One of our core values is to be an inclusive place for all. That means, in addition to welcoming thousands of guests to our main campus, we work hard to be a good neighbour in the South Shuswap as well as the wider Shuswap region.

Tucked beside the school on Passchendaele Road, Sorrento Centre is known to many as a welcoming place where weavers weave and quilters quilt, where musicians jam and yoga teachers practice, where children play and learners learn, where dogs and cyclists gather, and where the weary rest as meditators find peace and the spiritual nourish their souls. We host lots of events and activities throughout the year – and, build meaningful relationships with those in our immediate community and around the world.

Here are just a few, local and international:

Sorrento Elementary School, Lakeview 4H club, Naramata Centre, South Shuswap Chamber of Commerce, St.Mary’s Anglican/United Church, Anglican Diocese of Kootenay, South Shuswap Community Response Network, Community of the Cross of Nails, Ukrainian Humanitarian Aid Committee at St. Vlad’s, SISS Anti-racism Network, CMHA Shuswap-Revelstoke, First Community, Global Biosphere Adhesion/World Tourism Association. and many more.
