Bear Awareness and Safety
with WildSafe BC & Shuswap Adventure Girl

Join us for this special community learning event brought to you by Wildsafe BC and Shuswap Adventure Girl!
Sarah the Adventure Girl says: “As the organizer, I value any knowledge and training that I can get as I work, travel, and recreate in the outdoors. Recently, we had the honour of watching a Grizzly Bear in the wild, and it had me thinking about what I would do should I run into a Grizzly while hiking. There are more and more sightings of Grizzly Bears around the Shuswap and at much lower elevations.”
This workshop focuses on keeping wildlife wild and communities safe through bear awareness and safety. You will also learn how to use and transport bear spray properly. The training cans of bear spray are designed to teach you how to actually spray and how to build that ever-critical “wall.”
The Bear Awareness & Safety presentation is FREE and great for all ages, including families. Wildsafe BC asks for a $5 donation for the use of the training bear spray cans.
Located on the beautiful outdoor grounds and in the Kekuli at the Sorrento Centre- Retreat and Conference Centre in Sorrento, B.C.
