Thrive: Positive Psychology for Happiness and Meaning

Longing to create joy and meaning in your life? Want to understand your character strengths and values and how these are your greatest tool-kit?
Often we grasp for happiness outside ourselves, seeking fleeting pleasures or the next big thing. A definition of happiness from the field of Positive Psychology involves experiencing positive emotions, using our character gifts, and having access to deeper meaning in life. These findings are revolutionizing workplaces, counseling, and schools by emphasizing the need to build awareness of strengths (not just fix problems) to experience joy and engagement. Learn how to utilize the beauty and wisdom inherent in your own character and values to flourish right where you are!
This Thrive course includes:
- Introduction to the five elements of lasting wellbeing
- Online assessment of character strengths
- Focus on situations in which strengths facilitate pleasure and engagement
- Guided visualization to assess values and how these align with your life
- Discussions for awareness and sharing
- Brief activities between session to increase positive emotions and learn
Bring a journal or notepad.
