Everyone welcome – affordable housing in the Shuswap

Everyone is welcome to a public meeting of the South Shuswap Housing Society on Tuesday, December 3, at 6.30 pm at the Sorrento Centre, 1159 Passchendaele Road. Hear an update on the work of the society, and bring your stories, concerns and questions about housing and homelessness in our region.

Our new society was formed by the South Shuswap Chamber of Commerce, the Sorrento Centre, the South Shuswap Health Services Society, the Sorrento Health Centre, St Mary’s Anglican – United Church, the Sorrento Foodbank and others. We are working closely with the Lions’ Manor, an affordable seniors’ housing initiative in Sorrento. We are also working with the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District on a housing needs assessment of our communities. Our goal: to create homefullness for all!
