Mapping Canada in a new + powerful way: video transcript

Sorrento Centre Executive Director Michael Shapcott on map-making and reconciliation

“Maps always lie – by what is placed on them and what is left out – but can also help us see truths.”

Sorrento Centre Executive Director Michael Shapcott delivered the third Lenten Lecture on-line at St Paul’s Cathedral, Kamloops, on March 4, 2021. He introduced the PWRDF mapping exercise – a practical tool that allows people to understand how the history and life-stories, as told in maps, can help us to know each other better and progress in the journey of reconciliation.
