Meet Aleta Pappas

Aleta Pappas, a cherished member of the Sorrento Centre community, has woven her story into the very fabric of this idyllic retreat. From the tender age of three, Aleta embarked on a lifelong journey that began as a family tradition and bloomed into a testament of devotion and growth.

Through the years, Aleta’s bond with the Sorrento Centre deepened as she transitioned from an enthusiastic guest to an engaged volunteer, eagerly offering her time and skills to nurture the vibrant spirit of this special place. Aleta’s desire to make a positive impact led her to join the Summer Youth Staff (SYS), where she discovered her true calling while working closely with the young souls that frequented the centre’s embrace.

Inspired by her transformative experiences as an SYS, Aleta embarked on a remarkable educational path, pursuing a degree in Early Learning and Childcare Education. Armed with newfound knowledge and a profound passion, she set out to empower the next generation, equipped with the ability to inspire, guide, and shape young lives.

Now, Aleta has returned to the Sorrento Centre, armed with her expertise and unwavering dedication. She aims to ignite the spark of curiosity and creativity within the hearts of young minds, imparting the wisdom and experiences she has gained along her own personal journey.

For Aleta, the Sorrento Centre has become much more than a physical place; it has become a sanctuary of relaxation and a tight-knit community where connections are forged, and memories are etched forever. She fondly reminisces about joyful water fights, captivating campfire stories, carefree beach days, and countless other cherished moments that have left an indelible mark on her soul.
