Let Nature Nourish You

Our wellbeing is nourished by the land and environment that surrounds us. We acknowledge that the land we share, learn and live on is the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwépemc people. At Sorrento Retreat and Conference Centre, we pay tribute to those whose hands have cared for these lands for centuries, exhibiting values of generosity and harmony, values we strive to live into today.

Come home to the forest

Where time goes slow
and the breath is mellow
Where thoughts find rest
and calm comes to nest .
Come home to the woods
to be friends with trees
and listen to the breeze
to wander through trails
and mend your sails .
Come home to nature
when your heart is hurting
or your soul needs healing .
When something feels wrong
or you just need a place to belong .
The forest awaits
Come home, be healed …

Land-based Programs

Join us on the land to deepen your living connection with nature.

Sorrento Retreat and Conference Centre is a values-driven social purpose retreat centre, striving for environmental and social sustainability by hosting events and engaging in activities that are good for people, good for our community and good for the natural world around us. We share, along with every other faith tradition, a commitment to express our love for our neighbours in practical and tangible ways – like food and shelter. Our gardens, our forests, our wetlands and farm, our orchards and even our solar panels provide valuable learning opportunities for students, the community and our guests.

Take a look at some of the activities, programs and initiatives focused on nurturing the love of nature in our hearts and in our community.
