Sorrento Conference and Retreat Centre has celebrated its 60th anniversary year with many interesting activities.
The latest activity was the construction and erection of a Free Little Library. Books for all ages of all genres and topics were collected and are waiting to be rehomed in the community!
“Our summer guests will be thrilled,” commented Kathie MacDuff, Associate Director. “People travel from all over to join us and seldom have room to pack all the books they would like to read during their stay. Now they will be able to take a book, leave a book, or do both!”
Anyone may take a book or bring a book to share. Little Library book exchanges have a unique, personal touch. There is an understanding that real people are sharing favourite books with their community.
Pop by Sorrento Conference and Retreat Centre, 1159 Passchendaele Road. You will see the Library at the entrance. There’s room to safely pull off the road and see if there’s a book for you.
Sorrento staff will be managing the Little Library and have books in reserve.
