Spotted in Calgary
At the Anglican diocesan centre

Even before I had a chance to sit down for my first formal visit with Archbishop Gregory Kerr-Wilson in the Anglican diocese of Calgary on Thursday, I was whisked by the Archbishop a few doors down where he proudly showed me a beautiful painting on the wall of Spes Bona, the iconic administration building at the Sorrento Centre.
The painting is very familiar to many of us – we use images of it in our letterhead and elsewhere. So, it was a great joy to see the original painting in a place of honour on the wall of the Rev. Pilar Gateman, Executive Officer of the diocese.
As the Sorrento Centre looks forward to an exciting year in 2019, and builds towards our 60th anniversary in 2023, we are engaging more deeply with Anglican parishes, dioceses and ecclesiastical provinces across Canada.
