On the eve of National Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Sunday, June 20 2021, was not only a time to celebrate the summer solstice and our relationship with the beautiful world around us, but also the eve of National Indigenous Peoples’ Day. The Sunday morning worship at St Mary’s Anglican / United in Sorrento, BC, included a story of the Secwepemc people.

This Sunday was also the beginning of the end: St Mary’s will resume in-person worship meeting on June 27 outdoors at the Sorrento Centre over the summer.
