Neskonlith elder Louis Thomas will offer a special welcome to about four dozen clergy from across the interior of BC who gather this evening for a four-day conference. The Sorrento Centre is on the traditional and unceded lands of the Secwepemc people, and we are honoured to welcome Louis and other special guests.
Anglican Church of Canada National Indigenous Archbishop Mark L. MacDonald, the Anglican Church of Canada’s Reconciliation Co-ordinator Melanie Delva, Bishop Lynne McNaughton of the Diocese of Kootenay, Bishop Barbara Andrews of the Territory of the People and more than 40 clergy from throughout the central interior will engage in deep conversation, spiritual reflection and relationship with each other and with this most special of places over the next few days.
